All the information you need to know about your consultation with your Doctor.
We bulk bill all patients aged 15 years and under. We also bulk bill those patients who have a current health care card, pension card or Veteran Affairs card, Full Time CSU Students.
Our fees are determined by Practice Policy and are reviewed annually. A regular upgraded list of our standard charges for routine consultations are displayed at reception. Our practice does not run in-house accounts and all consultations must be paid in full following your consultation. Some insurance medicals, pre-employment health assessments and bus/trotting licences also require payment on the day. These medicals do not attract a Medicare rebate.
We accept Cash, Cheques, EFTPOS & Credit Cards. If you have a genuine reason you cannot pay on the day, please discuss this with your doctor during your consultation.

Doctors in this practice may be contacted by phone during normal surgery hours. If your call is an emergency, it will be treated as such and you will be put straight through to a doctor. When doctors are with a patient and the call is NOT an emergency, a message will be taken and your call will be returned as soon as possible.
Unless requested to do otherwise by your doctor, please contact reception between 10am and 4pm. Most tests take approximately three working days before the results are available after review by your doctor. It is the patient’s responsibility to contact the practice for test results.
Script requests will no longer be taken in writing over the counter. If you require a repeat script, you will need to make an appointment for this purpose.
Lost or forgotten referral, pathology and radiology requests will incur a $10 fee to have them duplicated and/or faxed.
If you require a referral to a specialist you must see a practice doctor.
The practice can arrange an appointment by phone for all services, including: hearing, women’s health, immunisations, diabetes, asthma, chronic care, medicals, workers compensation, long doctors appointments etc.
Emergencies will always be given priority and our reception staff will attempt to contact you if there is any unforeseen delay or your GP has been called away. Longer consultation times are available. Please ask our receptionists if you require extra time.
If you or a family member require an interpreter service, we can organise this for you. Please let us know when you make the appointment. We have a range of languages spoken by our Registrars including Cantonese, Chinese, Mandarin, Tamil, Hindi, Creole, French, and Bengali.
Online standard appointments with the doctor are now available to existing patients from this website or download the free Appointuit App from Google Play or the App Store to your smart phone, tablet or iPad.
Appointments are available on a Tuesday with Alana for Diabetes, Asthma and Chronic Care 6 monthly regular reviews.
Hearing Test appointments are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays with Alana.
Home visits are provided to patients who have a genuine medical reason why they cannot attend the surgery.
However where possible we would encourage you to attend the surgery where we have better equipment and facilities. Home visits will be provided within a 20km radius from the Bathurst post office.

Emergency care is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Monday to Friday please phone the Bathurst After Hours Medical Service and you will be automatically connected to the doctor on call. If you feel your condition may be life threatening (EG. chest pains) please call 000 immediately.
